We are running Advanced Rev 3.01 on WinNT. We are experiencing a problem where we cannot import text files because it was cancelled the last time it ran. The system now returns a message saying that it 'cannot reprocess import files that have already been processed' every time we try it. There might be something written in the a table or control file to avoid processing a second time by accident. We don't have in-house Arev programmers but we would like to be able to troubleshoot such problem, if only we could read the code.
Could somebody guide us on how to read the code and, if we ever have to, update Arev data. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Gilbert,
Do you even have the code? How was this system developed? If this is a proprietary application for your company then you should have the original source code available. However, if this is a distributed software application then chances are you don't have source code and won't be able to fix the problem easily.
If you have the source code then anybody with a general background in BASIC or other high-level programming languages should be able to make sense of the code in AREV. You can also purchase the R/Basic programmer's manual from Revelation to give you the syntax of these commands.
My recommendation is that you contract with a local (preferably) consultant in AREV to help you with this. This will also give you the peace of mind of long term support if you need it. You can click on the Developer Network link on the left edge of this website and find someone to help you.
