Okay, building up a Novell 6.0 server from scratch to move from v3.x with ARev 3.12
Okay from a workstation that works fine when connected to the old server with NLM 1.5, I install NLM 1.5 and then the trade-up to 5.5. All looks well, I down the server and the NLMs load.
After setting ARev to the proper network driver, I load the TSR, and start ARev and get the dreaded FS461 Revmedia open error. REVPARAM - ServerOnly=True. Switching the network driver back to Novell Netware, all connects well. Downing the server and workstation and physically coldstarting both does not solve the problem.
Workstation is Win98 with the Novell 32bit Client v3.31.
Both servers right now are on the sme network so it could be conflicting NLMs (same SN). If this is the case I'll have to arrange for a loaner router/switch to isolate the two servers as the client does not have a spare.

I guess I should stop putting of getting new eyeglasses.
The new server was bound to a frametype of 802.2, the old 802.3.
When I change the settings on the Win98 workstation it all works well.
I tried changing the settings on the new server but both servers starting complaining the server at such-and-such address says it is xxx when it should be yyyy.
I don't know enough to solve the above problem so I switched the binding back to 802.2.
I suppose when we switch the servers over I can always change the binding on the new server which would be easier than doing it on all the workstations.
Are there any differences between using frametype 802.2 vs 802.3?

On the message from the servers make sure the NET address on the bind statement are the same on both servers.
