After making an report in EasyWriter, how do I save it as a command in TCL?

If you've saved the report in the report library, then it should be in the table REPORTS. All of mine start 'RLIST*', so you could use that as a filter; SELECT REPORTS WITH @ID STARTING 'RLIST'.

Lines 16 and 17 are the important parts. 16 should say TCL, meaning that's where it is executed from. Line 17 is the actual command that was built using easywriter. So, either programmatically or by cutting and pasting you could generate the VOC files for those commands.

Hi Matt,

I've been screening this online discussion for a year and have learned a lot about a program that we will have to scrap or upgrade. The power of it amazes me, but the development was done by someone else over a ten year period. Consistency wasn't the biggest concern in making the language, so it's been a chore for me. I'm a hobbyist and Windows based…never really mastered DOS, so I sure you understand my frustration.

Anyway, I tried your suggestion and it worked like a charm.

Thanks very much for timely response and expert advice.
