I've just picked up a new box running '98. Our current application is at OI version 3.3

I've found that when I use the system editor now

1]Ctrl-PageUp & Ctrl-PageDown don't work,

2]using Shift-F3 to search & F3 for Find next etc, the text is found & highlighted but the window doesn't scroll down to the area of the found text when the text is found outside of the 'current' frame.

I can scroll down manually to find where the text is highlighted but this is not a useful or productive pastime.

3] Ctrl-G does not move to the new line either outside 'current' either. For example if you are at line 1 and want to scroll to 20 (within the current window) that's OK but Ctrl-G to 100 from line one and you go nowhere (sometimes the status bar indicates the new line number but no movement)

Can anyone offer any ideas?

I'm using a Microsoft Intellimouse if that's significant.

David,

We've never experienced this problem before but if memory serves this usually results from a problem with the video driver.

Hi David,

I have Win '98 installed … it worked fine. I installed the MS Intellicrap too, and now it is broken in the same manner that you describe. I don't know if un-installing is a solution, nor do I know if it is a Win '98 problem, the mouse stuff, or an OI bug. We used to see this only with buggy S3 video drivers.

I've had this before on Win95 as well. And come to think about, the machines did have Intelli*** loaded .
