In a previous topic I raised a question regarding FS472 errors.
This was occurring at a client site on 3 identical workstations.
Changing the frame types resolved the problem with 2 of the 3.
One workstation is still having the problem.
The server has Novell 4.11, with patch 4b.
It is a Pentium II 266 Mhz with 12mb Ram
The clients are Compaq deskpro, Win 95, P100 with 16Mb Ram
They are running Netware client 32 version 2.2
Any ideas or workarounds??????
I have asked the client to run it standalone on a workstation to see if it is OK, and also to try as administrator.

I am the client referred to in the parent message, and I would like to announce the method used for rectifying the described problem. The one problematic workstation (as described: Compaq DeskPro 2000, Pentium 100, 16Mb RAM, Novell Client32, Win95 OSR1) was using a 3Com Etherlink XL TPO network card.
The latest incarnation of 3Com's drivers, contained on their downloadable EtherDisk 3.2, contains some NIC monitoring software called 3Com drMon, which is installed with the drivers as a network protocol. This seems to interfere with the correct operation of OpenInsight, as it regularly sends out packets of its own. Removal of the above protocol, using Control Panel ] Network, cured the problem.
Thank you.
