Crystal Reports and ODBC (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

For anyone that is using the ODBC driver I just sent the following email to Mike.
I am testing the Revelation ODBC driver and have found a problem when using Crystal Reports version 9.
The ODBC driver works great when used from Excel. However if I try and connect using Crystal Reports I get the following errors.
The database table "WORK_ORDER" cannot be found. Proceed to remove this table from the report.
If I answer yes, I get no further errors but the report is blank.
If I answer no I get an error Failed to open rowset. Details 42000 Revelation Software IncRevelation ODBC driver SQLPrepare syntax error.
I have tried checking in the attached file that you supplied to fix a similar problem under the prior version of OI (4.1.3) and the same error occurred.
A few questions:
I thought the issues with Crystal had been resolved. Do you still have known bugs with regard to Crystal Reports and version 7 of OI and the current ODBC driver?
How do I find out what version of the ODBC driver is installed?
What is the possibility of getting a fix for this?
Thanks in advance

We are running the ODBC driver and Crystal 9.2.3 at a client site with no problems - after a little learning curve with Crystal. There is a utility called SQLCon32 that tests various aspects of the odbc connection and we got a copy from Crystal. That helped us see what we had done wrong, includes option for reading tables, rows, manually key in sql commands for selects, etc.
We also found it best to key in your sql command manually without quotes, do not let Crystal generate the sql command - that always failed.
I hope that helps.

We want our users to be able to use Crystal's wizards to generate reports; this does not work under OI 7.
Mike had provided me a fix for this that worked under the last version of OI. It seems that this fix did not make it into OI 7.
That is what I would like to be fixed.
None of our users should need to (or want to) learn SQL; they have more important things to do like run manufacturing facilities. This is even more important now as reporter.exe is going the way of the dodo. OI needs a user friendly reporter, if Revelation can not provide one then the least they can do is fully support Crystal via their ODBC driver.

Jim -
It's possible that you haven't gotten a response to your email since Mike has been away this week.
I'd check email next week or give him a call.
