I have quite a few AREV 3.12 reports that I am now running under Arev32 and have run into issues (using VSPRINTER2) changing the lines per page and also the interline spacing so that the reports fit properly on the pages using the windows "Courier New" font. I decided to switch to VSPRINTER and found that it recognized changes to the Page Height in the printer definition in Arev32 and also the spacing parameter of the FONT message works. Do I need to stick with VSPRINTER or should I be able to use VSPRINTER2 and get this to work? I would prefer to stay VSPRINTER2 for the enhanced Preview window, etc.

Also is there any way to suppress the blank page at the start of the report or at least to get the Preview window to start at page 2 so that all of the reports do not initially display a blank page?

It's been true that (PE) prevents the initial blank page.

Thanks Dave. I know that works with RList statements but these are programs. Is there any way of executing the PRINTER ON statement without generating a form feed?

I separate the selection process from the report process and don't use PRINTER ON. In Arev DOS you also have the ability to preview or print.

PERFORM "SELECT THIS BY THAT"

PEFORM "MYREPORT (PE)"

Thanks, I didn't know that you could call a program with (PE) as well. I did utilize a preview option in Arev3.12 by selectively executing PRINTER ON or setting @VIEW.MODE and calling INIT.VIEW(). I am trying to duplicate this with OIPI/OIPI.NET in Arev32.
