Any suggestions as to why, when I attach a partcular volume OI32 slows down to a crawl. If I detach the volume and/or attach an old version of the same volume everything is fine.

We are running the Window 2000 service Named-Pipes to TCP/IP.

This started happening about a week ago. It seemed to be around the same time as I upgraded the RCLSRVR.DLL on the server . However I've put the old one back and it makes no difference.

I've verified all the files in the volume.

Any suggestions please?

Ok found the problem - verifylh fails to detect a corrupt table - I detached the tables one at a time until the system freed up. I'm thinking that it might have been a call in a promoted lost-focus event that caused it.

Interesting that Verifylh does not work in all cases…

You might want to get a copy of the table to RTI and have them test against it. Give them an opprotunity to enhance lhverify

Not a bad idea - anyone at RTI interested in looking into this? - it's a very small table.
