During a talk with Tim 'The Man' Marler we wondered about the following enhancement.
Have an optional switch which would 'weigh' results based on selection criterial and return in that order.
So for example if you
SELECT TABLE WITH FIELD1=A' OR WITH FIELD2=B' OR WITH FIELD3=C'
Then you would normally get all keys with fieldS equaling equaling the values. But if the optional switch was on then it would return first those that filed1 2 and 3 had the right values, then with 2 fields then with just 1 field.
Yes, this would add time to the index retreival process but since there would be an OPTION to perform it it would be up to the developer to request.
Yes, this could be done after selection process but it would probably be much faster during 118(?) processing

I know what you'll say here but… you could add a dictionary item called WEIGHTED which was a GROUP type of BY WEIGHTED_COUNT where WEIGHTED_COUNT was a symbolic which added 1 per field containing data….
