What is the maximum number of declared rows or columns in a DIM matrix?

I currently use a matrix of (10000 , 3) but need more rows.

Each cell can contain fields or arrays, of the properties of various controls, including @VM and @FM, hence I need to keep them all separate.

Also, does anyone have any other ideas for storing a large number of variables in memory, with very fast retrival times?

Thanks

Colin

Now that is exactly what I need… thanks Don… and Sprezz.

It makes you just realise how much more powerful OI is than other development tools.

Love your SRP controls, Don.

thanks Don… it's weird - we got along without that routine for years and suddenly in the past 12 months we've been using it to provide orders of magnitude speed increases in end of day routines etc. In one recent case we rewrote ONE system routine in about 30 lines of code and made the client end of day report run four times faster!
