Can't launch new editor - system index problem? (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

I know I have launched it in the past, but without a command line I went back to the old editor. Now, wanting to get better acquainted with the new one.
Well, I can't get it to launch, must have tangled something.
When I shift double click on form executable EDITOR, the message in the system monitor is:
RUN REPOSITORY 'EXECUTE', 'ARCS*OIWINEXE**EDITOR'
and nothing else happens.
When I enter the command EXEC EDITOR in the system monitor command line, it just rings the bell and displays EXEC EDITOR
That led me to think I should rebuild system indexes. But, when it gets to Building 2 of 7, it hangs at 1%.
Is it time to dust off the backup?
Paxton,
Have you run the SCAN_REP utility to check over your repository? See what problems it highlights and then try a rebuild.
Generally speaking I usually delete all rows from the SYSREPOSIX table before I do a rebuild, but take a backup before you do this :) (This was one way to cure the old RIX101 errors in the days of yore… )

Oh, yeah. I remember RIX101. Thanks for the reminders, I'll give it a go.
