I am having problems compiling a program/procedure that has exceeded 64K, I imagined that this would have been addressed under the 32bit version of OI.

Any ideas how to bypass this limitation?

Is a patch available ?

TIA

David,

Not that this will help you much… I have a 72,000 byte stored proceedure that compiles just fine with no problems. I am running OI 4.1.3, and Windows 2000 Professional.

I use the "System Editor", "open stored proceedure", and press "F9"… it compiles just fine.

I am using Windows XP and as soon as the Procedure exceed 69,000 bytes it gives an oinsight.exe error.

Any Suggestions

The 64K limit for source and compiled source surrently still exists in OI32. Anything larger that compiles is probably down to precompilation stripping of comments, white space etc.

Any plans of incresaing this 64K Limit in procedures?

Probably won't take must work for Revelation to address this minor issue!

It's a lot of work due to the way the compiler is designed. That isn't to say it won't be done - just that it has already been much requested and looked at and if it were easy it would be done already!
