Printing to Excel using OIPI? (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

Is it possible to use OIPI to output a report to a CSV file? or does this involve custom programming to support this?
Thanks,
John

John,
This feature has been flaged as in the forthcomming OIv7.1.

Thats all well and good but my customer needs the feature now.
I was hoping that there was some undocumented feature of OIPI that would allow me to save the data in a different format. Not just HTML, PDF, RTF.
Oh well, it will just cost them more money…

An Rlist callback procedure is a good way to do this.
See RLIST_EQUATES

Bob,
If I understand this correctly, this only works for Rlist Reports not for custom reports where Set_printer is used?
I know that Slist already has a CSV output option but this doesn't help us for any "custom" programs. We currently have to modify the reports to OSWrite to a csv file to accomplish this.

You are correct John.
BTW
Have you tried saving as HTML then just opening the result in Excel?

John,
If you are in a bind I have something that may help you out.
I have an F5 Stacker utility and a standalone subroutine
that will create the file. My info is in the developers network section under Alternative Systems.

Thanks Bruce,
I think I have it working but what is a Stacker utility?

The handling of multivalued data for reporting is, of course, quite different from handling it for export to CSV, Excel, etc. Arev had a sort of ASCII Exporter but I soon created my own.
This migrated to OI and was rebuilt about five years ago as a variant of my T-List Report Writer (which is a bit different from the RTI and Sprezz reporting facilities as it addresses rather different requirements).
I could probably package up the "T-Export" variant if this would get you out of a fix. If this is worth considering please email me at rg@tornadopropsys.co.uk.
