OI display under Win 7 (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

Has anyone overcome the behaviour where the graphics and text of an OI system whick works perfectly well under Vista, when migrated to Win 7 loses some of itself.
Eg. Deployment Kit - under the Deployment Type group winget, the items show as "Full Syste", "Applicati", and "Upqrade/Moc" - yes that's a "q".
I've gone the path of changing theme, font, this/that - however, cannot get a mix which works - the screen is 1920 x 1200, which would indicate that it shouldn't be having display problems.
Cheers

I have recently migrated my OI 9.2 app to Windows 7 and do not have this issue. What version of OI do you have ?

I haven't encountered this issue before so lets review several settings on the computer.
1. Right Click Desktop -] Screen Resolution -] "Make text and other items.."
What magnification is set?
2. At the same screen click click "Adjust ClearType Text Tuner" on the left side.
Is it enabled?
3. Finally, Go back to the desktop. Right Click Desktop -] Personalize -] "Window Color and Appearance" -] Advanced Appearance.
What font and size is set for the message box text, menu bar text, and window text?
Please post back your results.

Complete stab in the dark here, but could this article on The Mysterious Black Background in Visual Basic 6 (VB6) Forms and Controls have any relevance?

Martin,
If this is the same issue I had on my laptop I believe what you're seeing is a problem with the MS Sans Serif font due to the DPI size used during your OS installation.
My Windows 7 laptop was installed by Dell - when I ran OI on it and used forms where I did not specifically set a font the default font returned by the OS was 12 point MS Sans Serif - This also gave very noticeable problems with the EditTable Properties dialog in the form designer.
The machines I installed Windows 7 on never had this problem but then I kept the DPI to 96 (100%) during installation.
To rectify this you need to edit the registry and specify the correct font file. There is an excellent blog article here with more info that shows you how to do this. Remember to reboot afterwards for the settings to take.

Alas, while I would love to take the credit I think it belongs to the MSDN guy who wrote the blog article

Sure had me stumped for a while though… knew it was DPI related but just couldn't work out where the problem was… glad your system is fixed now!

I think RTI needs to get this in KB article as it is going to cause a lot of developer grief.
