I am converting from OI4.1.3 to OI9.2 I am finding that menus and windows get blanked out and not refreshed -for example when I return to a window after a help listing areas are blanked, when I return to a menu the tool bar is blank. None of it is a major for me because the system does recover and no data is lost. But for the client it is a nightmare. Originally I thought it was a memory problem, but not so - 8GB memory should be enough !! Can anybody shed some light on this problem.

Do you have promoted events, some of the upgrade paths replace your promoted event and ones you have setup are lost. If so, then run window EVENTDESIGNER and check that your promoted = Yes are still there.

Barry,
Doubt if promoted events have been used in Don's App. I would guess rather some code constructed or - as an off wall guess - graphics card not repainting properly. Would have to investigate specific - will see if I can do so and report here.

There was a similar issue like this but it was resolved in 9.2.1. Are you on the latest version?

Using OI9.2.1. I have come straight from OI4.1.3 so not surprised at the odd issue. But this particular issue is becoming a pain. Hope Richard can come up with the answer.

Can you please confirm the order and what upgrades were applied to the 4.1.3 system to get it to 9.2.1?

I have a distant recollection that the apps were extracted at the OI 4.13 and then re-imported to 9.21 or a 4.12 to 8.x utility was used. Of cause there is a bunch of screen - fontformdesigner issues that are caught up in OI 7.x if I recall. (Hence the font-fix util fron SRRP). Needless to say I had not noticed any problems when I reviewed material. Could well be that form recompile would go a long way to resolving. THere were a goodly number of orphaned events and the like - some of which were tidied up.
