OLE Word MailMerge error (OpenInsight 32-bit)

Hello,
Looking for any information or advice trying to debug a OLE error since upgrading Server from 2008 to 2019.
OLE Word Mailmerge process works fine for everyone activating from a normal session.
Process aborts when called by the SYSTEM user via INET process.
I've captured the OLE process into a log and is bombing on oMerge = oDoc→MailMerge
Start - 11:09:53 16 FEB 2023
Word.Application
Documents
OPEN
Visible
MailMerge
OLEStatus (-2147418113) on GetProperty 'MailMerge'
MS Error returned is:
-2147418113 (8000FFFF) Catastrophic failure.
This process works and has worked for years. Have tried bumping Office down on the new 2019 server back to 2010 but same issue. Have checked rights and permissions on SYSTEM user and all directories involved.
Made sure "interact with desktop" is checked on oengineserver.
Any insight appreciated.

It wouldn't surprise me is the SYSTEM user is more restricted in 2019 than in older OSes
You might have to run the socket server as a domain user rather than SYSTEM.

In the services control panel, right click on the oengeine server service to open the properties. On the log on tab, under the spot whith the checkbox for allow to interact with desktop, there is a radio button you can use to change from the system user to a different user.

Bruce - Didn't you also report that you experience the same problem when you run this using your own domain user account?

THanks, I figured that out after I posted and started to think about it.
I had our IT create a domain user and logged in with it and it didn't work.
I then tried with my own local\bcameron_admin (which works from the desktop) but it did not work either!
I feel like it's related to the OLEDB process as it tries to open the mailmerge template file (LEADS.DOC if you remember that one) the SQL connector or whatever is behind scenes is blocking it.
Frustrating.
