Is there a way to suppress the overwrite confirmation when using the send_event(@Window,'WRITE') function?

Sure .. If you're willing to substitute your own Write logic. Simply go to the Write Event for the window and put your logic in a Script that does whatever you want. Don't pass a RETURN 1. Instead pass a RETURN 0 to stop subsequent event processing. If you want to clear the form or close it, you'll have to do it yourself.

Another more drastic option is to modify the system WRITE event, but that can get pretty hairy!
