I tried your suggestion and what happens is that all the reports show up when I choose to open an existing report but when I select an individual report, I receive an error message saying the report doesn't exist. I rebuilt the system indexes but that didn't help. Any advice or should I just tell my supervisor to start from scratch?

If application that you are copying from has the same name as the destination application you could do an RDK.
Also, you copy over the SYSREPOS records for the reports form your source application.
