Exceeding session (user) count (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

For testing purposes, we have a development site installed with a couple of licenses. (The production site runs as a runtime version with sufficient user count on it.) Practically all database updates are done through a remote client - running sometimes multiple threads - firing up dynamic (remote) engines.
When exceeding the session count limit, the server shows the corresponding message, expecting user response for that particular message. But …. the only problem is that the client won't get aware of this message.
So the user opens another session and starts a chain reaction, which eventually blocks everybody, until the server gets cleaned up.
Our problem is, that sometimes we can have 10 users working w/o problem and at other times just 3 users will consume all available sessions - no way to tell in advance.
Is there a way to avoid this situation (apart from increasing the user count), getting a message directly to the client, so that the client could also distinguish between code bugs and input requests on the server?

We are currently working with Revelation to find the resolution to this problem. Once again when made aware of a potential "showstopper" they are bending over backwards to provide a resolution for which we are grateful. We are testing a patch today so hopefully we will all have a fix shortly.

Sprezz,
great!
Would that also be available for OI413 or only OI7?

Well given that 4.1.3 reaches the end of its 12 months Works Window next month it wouldn't be surprising if it was only available for 7.x but that is Revelation's call.
On the bright side, after stress testing the fix is holding up.
