The network driver is All Network Driver Ver 2.1
Thanks!

Do you have the Linear Hash service on the server or just the All Networks Driver? The Linear Hash service (Universal Driver) is required for concurrent access by multiple workstations.
With regards to Windows Server 2008, only the Universal Driver 4.5 is certified and supported. The 2.1 version linear hash service may work on Server 2008 but it has not been tested and is not supported.
This is a short list of the new features in the 4.5 version:
* There is only one REVPARAM file no matter how many different subdirectories you have with .LK and .OV files.
* There is support for files larger than 4 gigabytes.
* There is support for large frame sizes up to 100K.
* You can 'hide' your .LK and .OV from your users.
* The LHVerify facility is integrated onto the server side, allowing much faster performance.
* Registry settings and REVPARAM file created automatically.
Also in the 4.5 is a service management program so you can view which stations are connected and force the release of a lock.

Jared,
Clarification: is 2008 platform for both 32 and 64 bit versions of 2008 now? - and does that extend to SP1?

Yes, both the 32 and 64 bit versions of server 2008 SP1 are supported.
With regards to SP1. Microsoft's first release of Server 2008 included SP1. I believe the only version that doesn't have SP1 by default is the Windows Server 2008 RTM (Release to Manufacturers) version but that isn't a publicly available distribution.
