We have an outstanding issue of a popup with 13 columns. This popup displays correctly if "Large" fonts are used in the display setting. If "small" fonts are used, nothing is display. Unfortunately, using large fonts is not an acceptable solution.
Is there a solution to this problem?
Thanks,
Hank

Hi Hank:
I've heard of some problems when using 12+ columns in a popup, but not exactly like this. I haven't found anything yet relating specifically to your situation. I'd like to try to reproduce it here.
Couple of quick questions:
How did you create the popup? (UI Workspace or programmatically?)
How large is the data source?
What data types are you using?
Does this occur solely in a runtime, or will it do the same thing in development?
Let me know here and I'll see what I can find out.

Interesting …..
If the OI client is installed on the workstation (ie. the directory OINSIGHT.EXE is located in) and the database is located on the NT Server, we don't get this problem.
When the entire application is installed on the server, we do.
Answers to your questions:
] How did you create the popup? (UI Workspace or programmatically?)
UI Workspace
How large is the data source?
does not seem to matter
What data types are you using?
VARCHAR and DATE
]Does this occur solely in a runtime, or will it do the same thing in ]development?
both runtime and development
Help appreciated,
Hank

Hi Hank:
Have you tried running the client setup (on the OI CD) on a workstation to see if this helps?
Just a thought, I'm still in the process of trying to replicate the situation here.

Hank,
It is potentially a video driver issue. It could also be related to the sizing calculations done in POPUP_SUB. Are you sure it works if the OI is copied locally? Or was OI installed locally? (i.e. was it possible that in one of the cases, the client install had not been run?)
