We have a few older processes that use import.ascii to import data. Before OI10 these imports were setup in database manager. Where can we set these up in OI 10?

Hi Jason,

I don't see the ASCII import on the menu. We will add it to the next release. In the meantime you can EXEC RTI_IMPORT_ASCII, that should let you define / run an import.

Thanks Bob.

Is the call on the code side the same?

CALL IMPORT.ASCII("IMPORT.ASCII.PO_INVENTORY") works in OI9 but hangs in OI10.

Yes. The calling syntax is unchanged.

I seem to recall this being one of the tools Mike posted a survey question about whether people were still using it. I don't recall anybody saying they did, so I think it's absence was expected.

When calling CALL IMPORT.ASCII("IMPORT.ASCII.PO_INVENTORY") we get the message "# rows imported".

Clicking ok on that message throws the fatal runtime error below.

SYS1000: Error loading program "IMPORT.ASCII_SUB".

Any thoughts?

In oi 9 there is RTI_ParseCSV function. If in OI 10 would this help you?
