I get a message "failed to open a rowset"
Click OK.
Message "Failed to open a rowset Detail 42000:Revelation Software IncRevelation ODBC Driver SQL Prepare syntax error"
and a blank report.
Any ideas?

For testing, can you try a simpler ODBC client, for instance a 'get external data' query from MS Excel? Sometimes you can type the SQL yourself, get clearer error messages. Any unusual data types in your table?

To follow onto bobs message .. you might want to go to ODBC32 manager and in the setup for the Rev driver, set the log information. In Win2K it is found on the Tracing tab. Start the log .. do the process the stop the log. This will create a really big file the RTI can read

The Crystal Report wizard likes to use lots of quotes and periods - if you type in your sql select manually and just type in the fields and the table name without quotes, it works. This is with Crystal 9.3 if that makes a difference.

If Revelation is no longer going to support reporter.exe; then I need a drag and drop product to give my customers. If this means creating SQL statement manually I have hardly given them what they want.
Any chance of a fix Mike, I thought you had already sent me a fix for this that worked under 4.1.3?
