Do REVPARAM settings have any effect on OINSIGHT without NT service or NLM? (None Specified)

I have a client that is randomly getting FS1013: Group Lock Timeout Error and FS1026: Cache Flush Locked by Other. I have seen a lot of suggestions for correcting theses errors but they involve settings in the REVPARAM file. This client is not running any kind of Network Performance Product, and OI is running the All Networks Driver. Do settings in the REVPARAM have any effect on an installation of OI if there is not a network performance product being used?

Matt,
The All Networks Driver is the Network Performance Pack (NPP).
Go ahead and follow the suggestions you found with confidence!

Thanks for the info, I'll give them a try. For future reference, would REVPARAM changes also work with the Novell Multiuser Driver, or Byte-Range Locking.

I can't really answer for Revelation, but I would have to say no. The future of network drivers is in the NPP. The was some talk some years ago about integrating the NPP into the IPX drivers, but it hasn't happened yet. As it is, the NLM also uses Revparam, although it doesn't have all the options of the NPP one.
