A Boeing user's newsletter reports that version 1.40 of CACHE.EXE, a utility supplied by Compaq Computers, can cause data loss. According to the newletter the program was distributed from September of 1988 through January of 1989. Sites using CACHE.EXE should upgrade to version 1.41 of that program, available from Compaq.
