==== OIWG 3.61 attaching to AREV 3.12 files (None Specified) ====

I must be missing something...I have an application where I attach to AREV 3.12 files. Worked great up through 3.5. I just got around to moving the application into my 3.61 copy (APPBACKUP) and now, when I go to attach to the files with the database manager, none of the AREV 3.12 files appear in the 'window'. All OI LH files appear OK. The files are on a Netware server, but again, OI files show and AREV do not. Is there a switch somewhere I need to set to 'see' the AREV files?
Thanks for the help

It was a Netware gotcha...I reflagged the files and it works!

I confused a drive letter. Still can't "see" the files using DB Manager in 3.61, but I can in 3.5. Anyone know what is going on?
Thanks, Paxton

A list_volume command in 3.61 produces: FS109: Open or Create Media error. The name "N:\arev" is an invalid volume directory label.
SAme command in 3.5 produces a list of the tables in the volume.
Is there a switch or something I need to set???
Thanks, arcs@wws.net

Paxton,
Do you get the FS109 error all the time when you do a list_volume? Or is this only when the tables are attached?

Thanks for the reply, Blaise. I get the FS109 when I attempt a list_volume or an attach_table in either order. In other words, to answer your question, I am unable to attach at all.
In DB Manager, add tables, the tables do not appear in the selection window at all. OI tables appear OK and the AREV tables appear ok in verson 3.5 but not 3.61????
Any ideas of other things to check?

I determined that the NLM is used by the 3.61 version and not by the 3.5. So must be something to do with the way the NLM is "working"?

When I chnage from the Netware Multisuer driver to the IPX/Netware Multi-user Driver ver. 1.15 in version 3.5, I get it using the nlm and it attaches to the AREV files OK!
So, still don't have it figured out???
Thanks for your ideas, Paxton

I had the wrong network driver on the OI 3.61! Switched to ver 1.5 and it works! Apologize for your trouble. Thanks
