Maybe that I have overseen something. Is the veryhelpful POP_CONV-functionality available in AREV 3.12" also available in OI 3.6 or is there any alternative which does the same? Until now I could not find it in the documentaiton.
Perhaps anybody from Revelation could give a hint whether the POP_CONV is available.
Thank you very much!

Wilhelm,

I have never used POP_CONV … could you describe what it does (or what you need)?

Cameron;
es geht mir gut. Thank you very much for your response.
POP_CONV is described in a booklet "Advanced Revelation 3.1, Changes and New Features" (pp 19 - 26).
You can use it to display any kind of coded information with the full text in windows or reports or to convert text to codes in connection with an import process. You can also use it in the input validation or in the output conversion. So you can use a code definition in an explicit popup for several purposes.
Wilhelm,
You can also use it in the input validation or in the output conversion.
It sounds something like the SYSCONVERSIONS and SYSVALIDATIONS popups that come with OI.

Not really. Go through ARev and check out the Popups Code option. It does a series of conversions on the fly for you. You would link the code structure to a specific popup. So, if I had a popup for olympic medals, I would want to display Gold, Silver and Bronze. In my code, I'm storing 1, 2 and 3.
It's advantage was you could sort things on the internal values instead of the external values and you did not have to make a series of code changes in the explicit popup stuff.
I never used it except when I had to support it. It was new with ARev 3.1. I don't think it's in OI.
