I have a form with 10 pages which contains about 450 controls. As can be expected it takes a while to compile. However, after compiling more than once, at random but frequently, the form designer crashes with a 'Form Designer has encountered an error….' message. This is being run on a fairly high spec Vista machine. When I've tested it on a lower spec XP machine, I experience the same issue but with the additional problem that when it does compile it then runs with most of the controls missing. When I close the window the form designer no longer has the missing controls on it. This is very frustrating.

I have also tested this on various other pc's, in OI 9.0 and OI 9.1, by creating a new form, adding 500 buttons and compiling a few times. I have not been able to compile more than about 5 times without it crashing.

Have you tried OI 9.1.1? - that had a fix for forms with a large number of controls
