Using Arev 1.16 ran under Windows 98. I have read the articles pertaining to printing graphics from Arev. I have printed a JPG picture from word to a file. Word gives it a prn extension. After opening the file to edit I don't see any escape sequences The majority of the file is machine language there is wording at the top and bottom ex:PJL enter language=pclgui etc. I don't see the reset or form feed characters but I may not fully understand what I am looking for. I see mention of copying the file to the printer via PCL that it is a Macro Then sending the command to the printer via PCL. I have an older Hp Deskjet Manual which gives the escape sequences but there is nothing about Macros. There are sequences such as Start Graphics End Graphics. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Since AREV has no native capability to deal with graphics, you are left with learning the specifics of one printer; change the printer and the program ceases to function. I'd suggest thinking along the lines of printing any text to disk and using a word macro to merge the text and graphics. One of the advantages of Windows is that it does a good job of printer abstraction
