After client and fileserver system failure due to power outage I am unable to get back into a specific account from a remote client. The application hangs after initial screen is painted with msg "Initialization in process". I'm running rel 2.11 under WIN95. I can still access the account from the fileserver and can enter the SYSPROG account from the client. I've run scandisk on both computers and LH_VERIFY on all files in the account. Which file tracks client registration? Do I have a ghost user which needs to be resolved and if so how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

When this happens it is usually due to corruption in either the VOC or LISTS file for the account. Check the number of dots that are on the

screen during the initialize process and read the ARev FAQ in the Products section of this website to help determine which files to check.

Be sure to check where to see if there are more than one VOC or LISTS files for the account because the can 'move' depending on attaches in the LOGON process.

If it's the LISTS file, you can usually do a SETFILE from the SYSPROG account and then a CLEARFILE QFILE. Your best be for the VOC file is to determine the REVxxxxx.LK and REVxxxxxx.OV names and restore them from a backup.
