When we save in a particular window, the window level noted in the

lower right hand corner increases one each time even when we escape

back. This causes more frequent bombing to the debugger after a period of time. Is there a reset code that I could use in a window post save subroutine that will clear the window levels? We have a number of routines that run in the window, eg "synctime". What would cause the runup of window levels. TIA, Jim Dierking

Jim,

Are you calling the window again from within the save/post-save process? That could be increasing your stack depth….

Is it a collector window or a bound window? I have numerous process that use both style windows with no problems.

I've found that this will happen if you call a Mainline program rather than a Subroutine or Function, and the mainline program ends with a STOP or END statement rather than a RETURN statement.

Thanks for the help! Eliminating the STOP command in the window processes save hook solved the problem.:)Jim
