Where in the world are you getting/looking at the OCZ ZipCode Example. I went into the Examples application and I don't see anything like that there (??)
Thanks,
Ray

Ray,
It's in SYSPROG.
DSig,
I'm getting the same results you are. I had forgotten about this window until you mentioned it. I thought it worked in the beta-release but it's been tool long. I'm trying to debug to see if anything obvious comes up.

Don,
Cool! I didn't know about this ZipCode Example.
Yep it doesn't work on my either, but it would be swell if it did.
Thanks for the feedback.

Don,
Do you have any good ideas/examples for the OCX monster. I had thought that RTI .. OOPS RS (I have to remember .. rs not rti) was going to put examples/code with the last couple of betas but I never did find it. I see the OCX test tool but there is no source etc behind it so how to tear it apart to understand the workings
If you do have examples please let me know I would love to start working with it .. if nothing else just to learn/know what can be done.
Thanks

David,
A set of examples was made available early in the beta cycle - some of these were the basis of a Vegas presentation. Having said that, I spent some hours trying to convert the scripted events into a commuter stored proceedure - so as to provide a more portable example package. But this effort ran into a brick wall because it appeared some event calls were to stored proceedures not shipped with the examples - frustrating. Again, some of the example code may have been generated early in the development of the OCX extensions, and the product has evolved since then.
I would hazzard a guess that the same examples were not offered for public distribution because of potential copyright issues.

DSig,
We haven't played much with the OCX controls that Revelation has used in their examples. Also, the examples windows are hard to play with because of the lack of documenation. So…we've been working with third-party controls and creating our own.
If you find a control you like then I can help you with the syntax of commands and how to program controls in general.

Hi Dave
I was at that talk too, remember some rev guy ( me ) promising to make OCX code available. At the show we also had a little Canary tell us that the Examples app could use improvement. "Great – thanks for volunteering to do it!" we said. The result is an excellent re-work of the Examples app that includes good OCX code. The new Examples app will be available for download shortly. In the meantime, I'll e-mail a copy of the app I'll e-mail you a copy of what I demonstated at the show.

Oh .. that show hmm that reminds me I still have some people to deliver code to Maybe it will be a nice christmas pressent for them HO HO HO
I look forward to the email.
My problem is I am better at learning by ripping apart something. I can remember when one saturday morning .. i was about 6-7 and was tearing apart a clock I had just gotten. Imagine my surprise when a piece of the spring shot out and went through the center of my thumb. Looked like Gen Custer Walked into my sisters room, woke here up and said something like 'this isn't right .. its not supposed to do that'
So give me an example and I may futze it up but I will learn
thanks
