Hi guys

Has anyone heard of instances where OI32 and MS Outlook do not "play" together?

I have a client who is experiencing regular OI crashes with

Memory Access Violation Errors (as reported by Dr Watson32)

They are also experiencing errors in MS Outlook when shutting it after

OI crashes - this issue has only been identified today!

Any thoughts on where I could look.

Using OI32 7.0.1 3-user Runtime

Universal Driver 3.0.0.2

Client PCs=Win2000 SP4

Service=Win2000 Server (fully-updated I assume)

I previously suffered this problem before and blamed

the OENGINE.DLL and staged updated OI from 3.7 -] 7.01

After rebuilding OI from fresh 7.0 install the problem

(seemed) to be resolved.

From OI 4.13 up you should sequentially apply every release level in ascending sequence, so 4.13-]7.0-]7.01-]7.1.

I *started* with the 7.0 from the Christmas 03 Works CD so that

*I* thought that should have given me a "clean" (read that bug free) OI32 to start with.

Why would I need to go back to the past and install upgrades etc?]

Is the full install of 7.0 on Works CD a 'Full' install or not?

Maybe RTI will respond to this as well, but when you go thru the update process you need to do them in order.

For example, if you are updating from OI4.13, then the update sequence is OI4.13 -] OI7.0 -] OI7.01 -] OI7.02.

I know that OI7.01 and OI7.02 (supposedly available very soon) are not complete updates. That is, they are incremental updates and not cumulative.

Oh yeah you asked about starting from OI7.0 and beyond. Not sure about this. I'm sure that someone will jump in.

Yes, the full install on the Works CD is a full install. I have not heard of any problems, other than Tony's, with using OI32 and MSOutlook.
