We are connecting to a MySQL database located on another server. The database is defined within OpenInsight using the native OI utilities. 99% of the time the connection works correctly. 1% of the time the code will hang with the logon box on the windows (dataset, userid, and password). The error has to be manually cleared.

How do I get Open Insight to return an error to the code after a set period of time (say 30 seconds) and then does anyone have a code sample of handling the error that they are willing to share ?
