Remember the problems I've got with OECGI2, as in my earlier posts of February 2007? Well, after upgrading to OI 8.0 they're all gone! The system is up and running, multiple oengines are dynamically started end stopped as expected, no CPU overkill, java is behaving well… With this I just wanted to say thank you to all staff at Revelation Software.

1) OECGI2 can open multiple engines - std licensing applies.

2) Anything that can speak the protocol can use it but is is PRIMARILY used for Web Apps.

William,

OECGI2 is very cool.

1. Easy to set up on separate host in dmz and point to application(s) on database server in private area.

2. Can host multiple systems

3. Can specify number of engines spinning, waiting for requests - others loaded on demand; can reserver engines for lan (rich client).

While you are at it, have a look at David Goddard's paper on AJAX to get a taste of what can be done to construct a rich experience at the browser level. Look forward to more KB papers and examples on Web publishing from OI.
