When a symbolic dictionary item is placed in the Detail section of a report it is not being displayed or printed. The report was working correctly prior to upgrading our OpenInsight to version 3.61.

Any ideas or resolutions?

I just created a symbolic in OI 3.61 and 3.7 and had no problems previewing and printing the symbolic in the Details section of Reporter.

What version did you upgrade from? Have you seen any errors related to the symbolic? Have you made sure the symbolic still exists in the dictionary of the table since you upgraded? Try moving the symbolic into another section of the report, such as group header, and see if it shows up. Or, trying removing the field and then readding it to the report. Also, you might create a new symbolic, with the same code and placing it in the details section of the report and see what happens.

Any further information beyond the above would be very helpful.

Thank you for your response, all were very good suggestions. Unfortunately, I still cannot get a symbolic to display in the Detail section of the report. I created a new symbolic in the dictionary with the only line of code being @ANS=0.00 - 14.99". I added the Calculated column to the report, saved and ran in preview mode, but the symbolic never shows up. I changed the font of the symbolic and it did display but not until I zoomed all the way out, and it wasn't in the detail section.

We upgraded from OI version 3.14 (very old) to version 3.61.
