I have a strange thing happening

Developing on a windows server using RDP

When opening any form my cursor jumps 5 characters to right in the field i am in

and goes back and forth

Happens in one oi10 application but not in my other application same OI copy

restarted the app still the same

unpugged the external keyboard used the one on the laptop..

I did have a char event that i removed from a form

but was only setting a visible property

now when typing the cursor would jump 5 spaces and return to that position every time even if you go past it

Cant restart my server till the end of the day…

Probably just take the rest of the day off

Also don't have the service running

PS

When I log in via mapped drive it works ok

as the oi10 login says maybe I need a snaity check as well.

I've never seen this happen myself (and I sometimes work on RDP to check things on other machines here), but I believe Bryan has seen this at one point in the past. We were never able to track it down and I haven't see it reported since - I guess it's something we'll need to keep our eye on.

(TBH - we don't even have that level of control over editlines and how it positions the text and cursor during use…)

Yes, as Carl mentioned, I've seen it on my Windows 10 desktop - directly, not even over RDP. Eventually it just "goes away". I find it very annoying, and don't even have any ghosts I can blame it on

It did go away eventually

but if it happens again will check the background stuff..
