Are there any fields that are available for me to store information? I see within the "OIWIN*EQUATES" that there are reserved locations. Also I did notice that there are four RM seperated items. Header, Window, Controls, Menu. Can I add a fifth RM item?

I was thinking about storing a password for the window in there somewhere (password protect the window). Or even the SYSREPOSWINEXES table. This password item must be able to be checked and changed from a runtime version.

Richard,

Header, Window, Controls, Menu and Leeloo? :-)

Why do you need a fifth element? Why can't you just store the password, say, in the text of an invisible static?

Oystein,

I thought of that and other similar items late last night. I agree with you. Your way is the way to go.

Richard,

You also said you'd like to change it, even from a runtime version. Others must tell how wise that is. I don't know.

Oystein,

It's just an access password. If an admin user wants to change the password (in runtime version) then they can change it. Normal users can not. The password access stuff is to prevent some users access to some areas. Kinda like I want some normal users to be able to access accounts payables or general ledger, and not all normal users. Or allow all users data entry to invoices, and only a few select users to be able to correct already posted invoices.

It is almost along the same lines as changing a date on an invoice. My first post was kinda way off the target on where to store this password.
