"Too many users" for REVCMD (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

Sorry, All, for butting in again with an AREV32 question. The issue I had yesterday – with REVCMD crashing – appears to be resolved (at least I *think* so). I did a fresh install on a 7.2.1 system.
Can I not run AREV32 on a development installation? I'm getting a "too many users – try your request later" error when I try to launch REVCMD from System Monitor. Ugh. Many thanks, –Tim

Doesn't the launch of OESocketserver.jar load an OEngine? If so then you will need at least a two user version to work but I defer to Revelation on this.

John is correct- firing up an Arev32 session requires a user license. If OI is already running, that means you need two users.
The Arev32 guide shows how to run Arev32 from the command line, without OInsight running in GUI mode.

Following the advice to run AREV32 from cmd line, now I have an error that my revcmd ocx file is out of date.
Granted, we have been using an AREV application for years, so I'm not an OI whiz, but, geez, what is this? Rocket science? Is there some magic button that I'm not pushing?

There's a SUPPORT subdir in the REVCMD dir. Looks like I can use that to execute revcmd.exe from cmd line. Hopefully, this will let me run arev32.

Apparently at least two-user license is required, even executing REVCMD from a command line. OI seems to be required for LOGTO. Thanks, –Tim

We're working on and testing a new technique that may make it possible to work with a single user engine. Check back here on Monday.

Mike, any luck getting the converted app to work in AREV32 with one user? Thanks, –Tim
