LAN Times (April 1, 1991, pg 18) reports that a caching problem in Netware 3.1 can lead to corrupted data. The problem is most apparent in situations where there is heavy network traffic and data is read immediately after being written to the cache.
In Advanced Revelation the corruption would most likely reveal itself in the form of a Group Format Error (GFE).
The patch that corrects the problem is available on Netwire, Nov A Lib 7. CACHFX.ZIP contains CACHEFIX.NLM, which should be installed on all Netware 3.1 servers.
